Rigging at Dubai World Trade Centre 2009.

DWTC is pleased to announce as from the 1st January 2009 our rigging department will be providing an exclusive service to provide all the primary fixings for every suspension. This will ensure the points comply with the weight restrictions in the area that is hung.

All rigging requests will have to go through are event services co-coordinators where they will be planned and priced before being passed on to the rigging department who will oversee the delivery of the clients request. As an 'In - house' department the rigging team will provide on-site operational support throughout the event with ongoing cover and response during tenancy.

Secondary rigging is also an option for both exhibition and events. A rigging design service is also available along with a comprehensive range of staging, lighting, sound, video and projection equipment.

DWTC has one of the largest portfolio's of rigging in the U.A.E. The department can provide the resources to enable lighting rigs, banners and drapes.

All DWTC rigging conforms to European standards and carries a valid test certificate.

Services offered.

Drop Wire
A 6mm black steel wire rope fitted with a movable connector. These are used for light weight items such as signage, banners and small set pieces.

Motor Point (roof point)
Attached to the main roof beams and used to suspend hoists to lift heavy loads.

Manual Chain Hoist
This is a manual lifting hoist used to lift lighting rigs and is controlled by a hand chain.

Electric chain hoist
These are a powered hoist used to lift lighting rigs and complex structures.

Cateney Wire
A tensioned wire rope, rigged at roof height mainly used for drapes and dressing.

Truss and Ladder Beam
We stock an extensive range of both Light weight and heavy duty truss. Used as a modular system it will connect together to form large or small spans within 500cm increments.

Truss Corners
We stock both fixed and movable corners for the truss allowing for a variety of shapes.

Access Equipment
We stock both pre-fabricated aluminum Zip - Up towers and powered access equipment. boom and scissor lifts. Used for high level access, these can only be hired depending on availability. Powered access will be supplied with a driver and a minimum four hour call out.
